House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said Sunday that Republicans have left their mark on the healthcare bill and should accept that the bill will go forward. "They've had plenty of opportunity to make their voices heard," she said on CNN's "State of the Union" Sunday morning. "Bipartisanship is a two-way street. A bill can be bipartisan without bipartisan votes. Republicans have left their imprint." The public option, for example, has been stripped from the bill because Republicans were so adamantly against it, she said. "They've had a field day going out and misrepresenting what the bill says," Pelosi said. "But...

It's a notorious night for men behaving badly. Unofficially, Feb. 13 is also known as "Mistress Day," the day that straying boyfriends and husbands set aside for the "other woman" - since they're spending the actual Valentine's Day with their girlfriends and wives. "It might not be a nationally celebrated day, but it's at least a day to practice your 'mistress retention' skills," says Noel Biderman, president of AshleyMadison.com, which sets up extramarital trysts for "when monogamy becomes monotony" and boasts 2 million registered members.

Washington, DC (LifeNews.com) -- New Valentine's Day cards from Planned Parenthood and a national organization for "pro-choice" doctors don't have the typical phrases like "Be Mine" or "I Love You." Instead, the promotional cards promote abortion, condoms and promiscuity. Jodi Magee, the head of Physicians for Reproductive Choice and Health, emailed supporters of abortion practitioners and pro-abortion doctors letting them know of their special Valentine's Day cards. "Let pro-choice physicians know that you appreciate them. With the stigma and harassment our doctors face, they deserve to know that they make us proud," she says.

Official guidance on how much we can eat each day has been underestimated for the last two decades, scientists have revealed. The daily intake of calories - currently 2,000 for woman and 2,500 for men - could be increased by up to 16 per cent, the equivalent of cheeseburger or two packets of crisps. An average adult could happily squeeze in an extra 400 calories a day and not pile on the pounds, Britain's leading nutritionists have admitted. SIERRA VISTA From the founding of America through today, the citizens of the nation owe veterans a debt of gratitude, an Army colonel said Wednesday. Speaking at the end of Sierra Vistas 15th annual Veterans Day parade, Col. Timothy Faulkner said no less a person than President George Washington noted the need to appreciate veterans after the Revolutionary War. Faulkner, Fort Huachucas garrison commander, said it was Washington who set the tone that carries through to today when he said, We owe veterans a debt of gratitude, indeed a debt of honor. And the colonel noted that from Valley...
